This is the permanent free tier, not a trial. If you never subscribe, all of this keeps working.

What you are paying for
AI access
Your assistant can read and change the planning layer through a local endpoint: groups, states, what a task is stuck on, what you finished last month. Writing is off until you turn it on, a full backup is taken before the first change, and everything it does comes back in one undo. Your assistant has to be one you run from a command line, such as Claude Code or Codex. The chat apps cannot connect to a local endpoint.
Four states, with reasons
Todo, doing, stuck and parked, where stuck carries a line about what it is stuck on. Colour follows state up the tree. The doing, stuck and parked columns in the schedule view come with it.
Everything you finished
Completed work kept by month, then by list, with repeating tasks folded into one line. The current month is free to look at. Reaching back through your history is the paid part.
03 / The obvious question
Why a subscription, when there is no server
ReminderMAP has no server, sync service or storage bill. The subscription funds continued development: macOS changes every year, and the paid features will keep changing with it.
If you stop subscribing, nothing is deleted. Export remains complete, and the free part of the app keeps working. Access to your own work is not tied to an active payment.

If you stop paying
These rules apply whenever a subscription ends.

- Nothing is deleted. Your groups, states, notes and work logs are all still there.

- The paid parts become read only. You can see them and export them, you just cannot change them.

- Your export stays complete. State data created while you were paying remains in the file.
