Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of ReminderMAP for Mac, made by DOZYWAVE LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. By downloading or using the app you agree to them.

The licence

We grant you a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use ReminderMAP on Macs that you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell it, rent it out, or attempt to defeat its purchase checks.

The app itself remains ours. Your data remains yours, and we make no claim of any kind over it. We have no way of accessing it in any case, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

Free features and paid features

ReminderMAP is free to download and a substantial part of it is free forever, with no time limit and no countdown. That includes the full mind map, unlimited groups, two way sync with Apple Reminders, the schedule view, notes you write in the work log, automatic backups, and JSON export.

Some features require an active subscription. Which features those are is shown inside the app and on this website before you pay for anything.

Subscription terms

ReminderMAP is sold as an auto renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly. The exact price in your local currency is shown in the app before you confirm, and it is charged to your Apple Account.

  • Auto renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you turn off auto renewal at least 24 hours before that period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • How to cancel. Manage or cancel your subscription in the Settings app or the App Store under your Apple Account, in the Subscriptions section. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period you are already in, and you keep access until that period ends. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.
  • Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, its length is shown before you confirm the purchase. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically at the price shown. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription before the trial ends.
  • Price changes. If we ever change the price of a subscription, Apple will notify you and ask for your consent before that price applies to you.

Running without a connection

ReminderMAP runs on your Mac and works offline. The map, your groups, your states, your work logs and your history are local files, and your reminders come from macOS on the same machine.

Purchases are verified on your own device by macOS. There is no licence check that phones home, and nothing in the app expires or locks itself.

Everything you have made can be exported to JSON at any time, on the free tier included.

If you stop paying

When a subscription ends, the paid features become unavailable, but nothing is deleted.

  • Your groups, statuses, notes and work logs stay exactly where they are.
  • What you can no longer do is change the parts that are paid features.
  • Export keeps working and the export stays complete. It still contains everything, including data created while you were subscribed. We do not hold data hostage.
  • Resubscribing restores access exactly as it was.

Refunds

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple and not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue, approve or refuse a refund.

If something is broken, please write to support@remindermap.com first. We would much rather fix it.

Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app or set up a new Mac, use Restore Purchases in the app's settings to recover your subscription. It is tied to your Apple Account, not to any account with us, because we do not have accounts.

AI access

ReminderMAP can let an AI assistant you already use read and change your planning layer through a local endpoint. If you enable it, you are responsible for what you instruct your assistant to do. Changes made this way are recorded and can be undone, and the app writes a full backup before the first one, but we cannot be responsible for the output or behaviour of third party AI software. See the Privacy Policy for what that connection does and does not involve.

Acceptable use

Do not use ReminderMAP to break the law, and do not attempt to reverse engineer it except where that right cannot be excluded by law.

Warranty and liability

ReminderMAP is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

Please keep your own backups. ReminderMAP writes automatic backups and can export everything to JSON, but no software should be the only copy of anything you care about.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
